About the Farm

Our goal is to provide local organic food and fresh flowers to our community.

We aim to work the land on the meadows beside Sooke River while respecting the natural environment.

We build our soil using fertilizer from our own animals,  and leaves, grass and ground covers from our property.  We have reached our goal of becoming a certified organic farm.

As newcomers to this area, we are excited to be a part of this community. In this, our third summer season,  we aim to continue to provide a variety of vegetables, fruits and fresh bunched flowers to our box program customers and at the Sooke Saturday Country market and our roadside Farm stand.

Please email us if you think you might be interested in our box program or any specific produce.

We look forward to meeting you!

Developing our farm:

In January 2021 we finished building our first Poly tunnel.  The Poly tunnel is now used to grow our first salad greens, and then followed by a crop of tomatoes interspersed with basil, peppers, eggplants, strawberries and cucumbers.

Our summer project (June) was to install a solar panel, pump, hoses and water storage tanks to be able to utilize water from our unused well for irrigation (we had no permanent power near the well).

The water to our vegetable beds is now gravity fed (30 meter elevation change) from the water storage tanks that are filled by the solar powered pump in our well.

Our sign finally came up in early June, just in time for the Farmstand opening.

Our cut flower garden is starting to take shape!

This summer we also started growing produce in our vegetable beds in the long meadows on the lower section of our property.
